Title: builders cleans and sticky labels
Post by: tatman on February 25, 2010, 07:39:46 pm
done a job yesday with loads of adhesive labels and mastic all over the glass. Wet glass up well and scraped labels off fine. But getting the adhesive off underneath was a real pain. Used some white spirit in the end. Is there an easy way to get these off always worry about scratching the units?

Recently I found wd40 to be good for removing label adhesive or a spot of petrol but wd40 is safer to carry around

Hello Tatman,

The best stuff you can use for removing sticky labels and gum is Titan Oil-Flo 141, it really is good stuff and can be bought on most sites that sell chemicals for window cleaning.  See link below;

www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk.

Hope this helps.

Regards. :)

You could also use T-cut, available from most supermarkets and car shops.
