As some of you have read my thread on loosing that commercial job Id like to tell you a tale.
Yesterday I got a phone call from a woman who wanted a quote for her conservatory windows and roof to be cleaned as well as house windows.
So I toddled off round there after work yesterday and gave her the spiel, had a lookie and gave her my price.
She said she had someone else come out to give her a price and as I was driving away thought to myself, 'hmmm, could be debatable as to whether I get that' the price I gave her was on the higher rather than lower side.
Anyways I have just spoken to her and the other guy turned up today from thsi crowd
http://www.wellcare-ltd.co.uk/
and his price was £800.
Now Im the one whos ped off ;D
I should have done an undercut and put in a price of at least £350 for what is less than 2 hours work.
800 squid to clean a connie roof ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

over cutting thats the way forward!!!
damn right ;)

Theres a firm near me that specialise in con cleaning and my mates mates mum was quoted the same sort of figure, but that did include insides!!!
-
what £800 mate they must be stupid and blind just because they turn up in a flashey van thats the way forward then over charge the stupids 8)
-
there is a firm round my way that does cons from £650 :o :o :o
would like a few of them very day :P :P :P
-
how do you do a deep clean on a con
-
Don't they put it down as a full valet though, which includes everything from the very top to bottom including insides.
-
press really hard lol ;D
-
Thats interesting, they do look well presented. I always try and learn what i can off things like this.
You haven't said if you got the nod or not.
-
Yes I did Clive.

They do appear to offer a clean looking professional package by their website and vans ( I don't know them at all!)
Isn't that the power of the web for you? Concentrate on a niche, good advertising etc and yes they may only convert one in ten but if they are making three times the gross profit they can afford to, also some people like the peace of mind of a bit flashness.
Personally I wouldn't have touched them with a bargepole - I couldn't see a proper address and no customer testimonials, also who would spend £800 quid getting a conservatory cleaned? Phil D

I'll send you a pic of my van matt, i had to take one for an ad at short notice but it's not a good one and i aim top take a better one when the weather improves.(I'm a bit scruffy at the best of times.)
The main reason for wanting a logo was to reduce wordage. And the main reason for this van is the 1200kg payload, and being able to park it on my drive.(By this i mean without offending the neighbours as I already have a mwb mr transit and small car).
Things are getting tight, there are a lot of people are starting up. We have to do the best that we can, i thought as above that wellcare was a good package.

Send it over Clive, Im interested; things IMO are requiring a little tweaking on the profile front. Im thinking website at the mo might need a total revamp. Im getting plenty of hits and they seem to be quite a high proportion of commercial, but theyre not translating into phone calls.
As for the £800 theres cleaning and theres cleaning, or rather theres cleaning which in most cases is perfectly adequate and theres a full valet/top notch OTT revamp.
Most people do in all honesty want just a clean and thats all that's required in most cases.

That looks good I think.
All the right info, as required.
Personally I'd do less of the kneeling, you have that on your site as well, how about stood back against the van with the pole tucked under your arms, folded.

A customer took that, the ad deadline was up, The website my little boy took. Always rushed.
My website hasn't been a success but the other stuff is very strong.
