Title: PAYMENT METHODS
Post by: cockney rebel on February 24, 2010, 08:28:23 am
Would be interesting to know what everyone else does. Thinking of doing online banking but worried about giving bank details out. Should i be worried?

Don't worry about giving out bank details. What your best doing is setting up a basic account which people pay into and then you transfer the money out when you want.

Just makes accounting more complicated if you ask me.

At the end of the year I have 52 pay-in slips from the bank and I add them up, simple.
If I got some paid online they wouldn't be on there, and I'd have to sift through statements and work it all out.

I might do that. A separate account for online banking. Is there a charge for this and does it have to be a buisness account or just personnel account?

I use a personal account. I can only get a business account where you can't transfer between different accounts, I would have to go into the branch every time I wanted to do something.

I have 4 seperate accounts with the same bank.

1) For customers to pay in
2) For business use
3) For house bills
4) For me

So long as you don't mix up the accounts its easy. 1 for money in, another for money out for the business. I'm going to set up a savings account for tax / equipment etc when I move.
