Well, on Saturday I cleaned the windows of my first house as a WC, and it felt great!!!! Beautiful blue skies ( for an hour at least!), I really got into it. It is an early vitorian 3 bed double fronted house with lots of small windows, and I mean lots!!! As part of my service, I include all frames, sills, and doors in the price. I made my first mistake before even starting....I quoted blind (Doh!!!). When I arrived, the tiny back garden was swarming in pot plants, all on top of the windows of course, so I had to move them, then to my horror found that they had been using the window sills as ash trays...nasty, and the front was on a busy main road.
As I started the custy told my he had been after a WC for years, and that the upstairs hadn't been cleaned in 10 years (he was scared of heights)!
3 hours later, I had finally finished. I probably overdid it with the clean but it was my first job, and I wanted to make the best impression I could I guess. Problem was, I only quoted him £10!!!!!
Anyway, the custy was over the moon! He was so chuffed, he offered to give me an extra £5, but I said no, I had quoted him £10 and I had to stick to it (go on say it...what a mug!), but I joked that I had learnt a valuble lesson.
2 hours later, my work mobile rang, it was the custy. His partner had returned home and couldn't believe what a good job I had done, and demanded I take an extra £10 for the job, and that they would pay me £15 ever 4 weeeks! So, it weren't that bad a day after all.
Roll on the next job...............Be lucky!

We all started somewhere, and we have all made monumental mistakes and dont let anyone tell you differant.
You will learn day in and day out,and from that you will build a better business.
Good luck to you. ;)

Frame that £10 note mate and then you can look back at this day in a few years with a smile ;D

Good for you.
We have all made mistakes, shall I tell you about mine? Its too embarrasing actually, one day maybe; but experiences like yours can only serve to make us more determined, well done.
