Hi mate. No, you could not clean windows with a TDS 7/8 and you need to change DI resin.

Vadim

TDS of 7-8 isnt the end of the world, I have cleaned with water 010 on the TDS meter, and it left no spots, also I read somwhere that water with a TDS below 020 is ok to clean, as any spots left from this water would be invisible to the naked eye.
Like Vadim said I would look at you DI vessel and not your filters.

My Tds regulary runs up to 009 ppm and is still fine for cleaning.Above this i am not so sure as i will change it when it gets that high.I have calculated that i get another 2 weeks use by running up to 009 ppm rather than changing as soon as it goes above zero, and as long as it is still cleaning without spotting that is ok with me.

As a rule anything below 10 is ok

010 is fine

i have cleaned in the 40 - 50's by mistake in the past and not had any complaints

my RO works at 006 - 007 without DI, i have come to the conclusion that the DI isnt really needed
