Title: how 2 attatch hose cart into van?
Post by: clearview window c on July 04, 2005, 02:12:13 pm
ive had a problem with my hose carts. they keep breaking because of sideways movement. i currently have a smallish astra van and i run 2 poles. hence 2 reels . its a tight fit so im limited to the size of hose cart i can fit in the van. i screw the hose cart to the floor of the van. is this the best way or should i take the hose carts out of the van when i start work? i have about 90m of hose on each and i am concerned that when im around the back of a house the hose cart will snag and pull it into the road, or create a hazarl. help. :'(

HI,

I have a 20metre hose coming from my van, which then attaches to my hose cart, this normally means I can set the hose cart on the site I am working at without causing any hazards, just make sure you have a trip hazard sign for when it is on a pathway - you can also get attachments to split your hoses, you could operate from the one hose cart instead of two and split the feed at the end to feed your two poles - hope this helps in someway.
