Title: tank for a mini boot

has anyone fitted a water tank in the boot of a mini
looking at installing a about a 75l tank and pump box in there for doing local and domestic work all other equipment can be stored in a roof box
does anyone else use one
ive installed a 1000l ibc tank at home so the tank can be filled regular as im only max 20 mins from base
looking at cutting costs as running a van for window cleaning and 2 cars  at the moment diesal costs  are ridiculous

The old rally minis used to have an extra petrol tank on the opposite side of the boot, use one ?

a mini has a rear seat, to take 2/3 people, you will not have 3 people in it, so a 75 L tank would be instead of 1 / 2 people

Main issue I would be thinking of is 75 kg in the boot if you haveca serious accident, or even emergency stop.
Maybe pure freedom trolley, then tuck 2 x 25l barrells in rear footwells, then two in passenger footwells
provided layed flat the ones behind you should be reasonably safe if you brake hard.

But again, even trolleys become pain on rear, better off if serious getting a tank bolted proffessionally in a van.

If we are talking about the original Mini you need the one with the prat opening hinged windows so that you can slide your pole in from the outside. I used one once upon a time with Unger poles.

I used to know a cleaner who used an original mini, but he used a trolley, barrels and a small trailer to hold it all. He got a lot of business from it apparently.  :)

i see a bloke in florida using a mini for window cleaning he had a small system in the boot and poles clamped to a roofrack which he had constructed by a local metalworker
he also dragged a small trailer in which he had a larger set up

GET A SMALL VAN NO NEED FOR TRAILER THEN!!!!! ::)
