Hi guys trying to get back into window cleaning after 3 years out. Im trying to get some flyer printed up professionally this time as before i printed them myself (very expensive) ive got a question....ive made a flyer using ms publisher and saved it as a tiff file. Is this all i need to do as ive read a few posts and it mentions settings like cymk/300dpi and stuff all foreign to. When i saved as a tiff file it didnt ask me to change any settings just saved as tiff. Is my flyer ready to send to the printer?
Thanks

It depends on each publishing company as to the quality, you need to speak to your printer to see if the quality is ok.

Cool. Im considering using printcarrier.com as they are cheapest ive found by far. here is a section explaining files http://www.printcarrier.com/gb/content-13/Printfiles.html

you need to save that as PDF file, most print companies want that.
we used www.bestprinting.co.uk and are ok

it says in the faqs Please send your data as JPG, TIFF or PDF only (according to the standard PDF/X-1a:2001). I thought tiff would be fine? anyone done this?
Thanks

I just got 5000 double sided 350 gsm a6 postcards for £70 delivered.
Let me know if you want the details.
Ordered on a Wednesday with the standard option and got them on the monday.
I found when I had 170 gsm leaflets they would get ruined going through letter box's. The ones I have now just slide through with no damage at all.

Sounds a good price. What have you put on the reverse of them & is it only in black ink or colour?
