Title: What cloth do the experienced tradders use?
Post by: Craig 72 on February 20, 2010, 06:14:58 am
Morning all.I'm at the stage where the majority of my round is wfp but I still like to keep me hand in with trad.I have always just used the squeegee when tradding but it seems a lot of blokes who have been around for years just wipe the windows with a cloth. Is it a chamois they use as the cloths always look wet to me?If I use cloths I have always used a very slightly damp microfibre then buff with scrim but seems much more laborious than these old timers methods.

I use a damp to wet soapy cloth then polish up with dry  unger micro fibre cloth. Its fast and leaves windows spotless.  Haven't used a scrim for years now.

tother week i  cleaned a few windows with a rat-tailed mop (lots of bits of chamois leather bound on a loop of string)

im sure ive not got the tecnique right, and the mop was heavy full of water, but the glass came up Great, highly polished looking And spotless
