Title: Royal Mail
Post by: Jack Wallace on February 18, 2010, 05:08:24 pm
I got chatting to a postman today, he suggested letting royal mail deliver flyers.

Anyone tried this? I have a feeling it could be expensive but maybe worth a try.

They claim that they will 'target' an area for you, but they don't give a monkey's where they deliver, they still charge the same, so your fliers could be posted into a few hundred individual council flats, dozens of tiny terraces etc.  It's too haphazard for me, I prefer to deliver them myself (actually, it's the wife who does the leaflet distribution  ::)) so we know exactly where they go and they don't get wasted.

Might work on a country delivery, I suppose because it can be very time consuming walking up and down half mile drives ;D

You'll be surprised how many postie's will throw out some leaflets for a drink!  If your really lucky he'll get his mates involved as well. Got a good few thousand delivered this way last summer.

If you need more work through leaflet drops you've obviously got time to spare on your hands. Get out there and deliver them yourselves and save a lot pennies.

I know it's all too easy to fill your spare time with other things as i've got a young family but you just have to get motivated to earn more.

Regards,
lance

I used to be a Postie, lets say the leaflets didn't always reach their planned destination!  :o
