has any one got any idea , on how to price up church windows, and how they turn out.
-
Blimey! Hundreds! :o
I reckon you'd have to do it all by hand, as if you attacked it with Wfp you'd just soak the inside of the church.
They would be individual little panes and very old seals.
Someone here may have done it before though.
Good luck!
Roger.

Dont bother. Pass them on to someone you dont like much.

The problem with some old church windows is they are stained glass as opposed to coloured leaded glass and chemical cleaners can, sometimes, ruin stained glass.
Personally................... dodgy ............... I'd give a real pricey quote and take it from there.

Dont bother i did one well started and it leaked like a sieve and was to tall for ladders.
So after doing one window and seen how much it leaked i packed up and told them that it could not be done properly this way.
Also if you do do them check that your insurance will cover you to do this as you are talking about a huge claim if things go wrong.

And if things go wrong they got GOD on their side ;D

Check your insurance as a lot of companys now exclude churches and merorial halls, because of the stained glass.

Does your insurance cover "Acts of God"?
You know, him up there with the Golden Hat on!

i do a community hall that used to be a church, it still have stained glass windows
i allways explain that they donw come up great, but in time if they are done regular they will improve
I turn the wfp flow rate right down, i mean right down so its a trickle and brush on, and then rinse off
job done ;)

The proper way for stained glass is to spray on diluted isopropyl alcohol (availble from chemists), dilute to about 1 to 100 with water, brush with a very soft brush and then rinse off with water.
