Title: How Long?
Post by: Lee GLS on February 17, 2010, 05:45:37 pm: Im setting up a wfp system but not sure what lenght pole to get, i do domestic work mainly 2 story, but quite a few have 3rd story windows and dormer windows, so what lenght pole would it be best to get so that i can reach the higher windows

Might have been 21, but can't imagine 4ft would make all the difference/

I would say get two poles, one for 2 story (17/18') and one for 3 story (24'). Using a 24' all day and every day when you only need an 18' is a waste of energy and could cause muscular/skeletal problems

I use a 22'slx, an sl2, and a xtel hybird 34', but the guy didn't ask what i use.

On shorter poles (17') the extra cost of carbon fibre carries little advantage.There is a big difference between a 21' and a 17'.

The 17'xtel is the domestic pole of choice for most window cleaners.If you can stick a gardiners supalite brush mono filament on the end that's about as good as it gets.
