can any one point me to the fairest priced supplier for a circuit board for shurflow backpack. my backpack gave up the goast 2day. stripped the lot down found p.c board sealant blistered off, peeled it all off are should i say it all fell off. 1of the chips soldered on the board all green we water gettin in tried cleanin it we electric term cleaner but no good. NEED HELP finding a replacement :( :'(

Don't replace it, they are useless. Just bypass the circuit board with any old cable and a £2.00 on/off switch from B&Q and forget using the totally crap circuit board. Believe me if you buy another it will last a short while and give up the ghost.

just the case of stripping the circuit board out and coneecting
wires from pump and battery to a on off switch.
when you have done this make a return from the pole hose to the
backpack so not all the water will go up the pole hose,the pump
and the battery will be going flat out so the flow will need
reducing,also buy a spare battery ,£15 from screwfix as you will
be using more power.
i have no problems with my backpack in the last 7 months
since i made a bypass :)

You can do this but if you have a flow control valve fitted to your hose pole you wont need to direct the flow back to the BP.
Just disconnecting the spade connectors and fitting a length of cable with the on/off switch will do the trick. a spare battery would be a good idea though.

If you tape a plastic flap onto the backpack body, just above the battery compartment it will stop any water getting in.
This flap is a foot square, just lift it to access the battery compartment, mines bone dry now.
You can buy a potentiometer from Maplins for about £15. 00. It has a numpty that you turn to control the flow speed. One of these and a switch will cost a hell of a lot less than that circuit board.

not meaning to be picky but you actually need both, flow controller
doesnt slow the flow down enough on its own before the pressure switch
turns the pump off,with the return it enables the pump to run properly
and you to have decent control over the flow with the controller, the water
lasts longer i manage to clean 2 1/2 semis with one backpack of water
simples!! ;)

Dai, that sounds pretty good. But where do you place the switch and the potentiometer on the backpack?
Both would have to be on the live feed. I have a spare backpack size pump, and last week I tried wiring it to the battery with the potentiometer and it worked a treat with variable speed. I was running it dry but it should work just as well with water. those little potentiometers tend to burn out if you are drawing a lot of amps, but should be fine on the 7amp backpack battery and that small motor.

i know ya can do a low cost effficient repair "ohter wise known as a "bodge".But ide like a better solution to fix it long term we out going through several batts in the day. :-\ are if there is a cheaper product are different manufacturer that has simular part that would do we out lookin like a bodge..
