Very nice, a new Everest 650 is around £25,000 alone and at 123 hours that's as good as new.
-
I prefer my spitfire why walk up mountains when you can fly
-
went to view this unit today, its a monster of a machine
-
Got the email today, someone is going to get a serious bargain on this. Even if you had to pay 35 - 40k. Imagine if you got it for a mere 20k ;D
Richie.
-
i'd stay well away, the unit has frozen
-
Billy Boy, did they let you start the machine up?
Richie.
-
Billy ;)

I was speaking to a carpet cleaner from leeds they told him it had been parked in their yard for over 6 weeks so this was through the freezing weather, so Billy might be right
-
yep i started it, an every mode they had, it sat on top of hill totally exposed to the weather, bit sad really, mike they've had it longer they told me, funny thing the lads who are storing it, didnt know there was a 25k machine inside,
-
Billy Boy, after starting the machine is it obvious that there is frost damage to it? Any burst hoses or HX?
Richie.
-
Anyone know what it went for in the end? Last time I looked it was £15900
-
Finished on £17300 some one got a bargin

didn they just !

I bet th van was worth at least 14k. Regardless if the truckmount had been frozen & damaged that is still a bargain.
Richie.
-
We got it.
Still sorting out the deal with Eddison's (some bureaucracy about the vehicle) but hope to collect next week.
We knew all about the freezing and there was another issue too but that was sorted properly by Prochem.
-
good luck with it, its a monster of a thing, to big for what i'd use it for
-
Thanks Will.
The van is huge but I have been studying all my jobs since it went up for auction and I don't think I would have struggled with any of them. No doubt there will be jobs where the portable has to come out but at least there is room to carry one. We will be selling our Hydramaster 421 in the coming weeks.
-
It looked a good deal Slioch.
PS how old is your 421 and what hours has it done, and where are you based.
Andrew
-
Andrew,
The 421 is about 4 yrs old with 950 hours (genuine). Great condition, oil change every 50hrs and serviced back at Hydramaster every 400 - the last one was in the autumn at 800.
We are in Hampshire.
-
i mean the machine pal, i'll wait for my titan, andrew you can have my boxxer 421 if you want, knock seven bells out of that side kick

hey, dont pick on my little baby Billy, it works great, and its bigger than you, ;)
so tell me what is good about the 421 guys,
Andrew

Good points about the 421 - heat, economical on fuel, easy to do routine maintenance, heat, packs a bigger punch than you would imagine, heat, hot water tap for mixing presprays etc., reliable (never broken down on me yet. Did I mention the great heat?
-
So what made you buy a bigger Truckmount ?
-
thats what i thought with just 900 hours in 4 years!
Cheers Goron

We are getting more commercial work (did one today) and see the advantage of dual operator. We also do restoration work and the ability to work at greater distances with no loss of performance is attractive. Finally, at £17300 why not?
-
Dont you mean £22360 with buyers commision and vat? not bad i suppose if your vat registered.
