I have recently bought a round, using WFP, and I am just getting used to pricing jobs. Windows are fine but not to sure about pricing conservatory roofs. Any help would be appreciated. ???

LO M8, I CHARGE BETWEEN £3/£5 PER PANNEL. MAYBE SOME1 ELSE DOES IT BETTER
-
try and work out how long its gonna take first.
if its a plastic roof that isnt clear then sometimes you can just use the customers outside tap and your pole with TSR.
on an average id say £5 per roof panel.
if your doing the roof and then the frames and glass to the floor id say an average of £10 per section - so thats one roof panel and one glass and frame section. only an average tho!

Thanks for the help guys.

i just look at it and think that will take me 2hrs so that will be £60.
after u have dun a few u will know how long they will take u so just price to what u want to an hr

look at them think of a fair price then treble it and you will still be to cheap :'(
hate the things i never price them right and they never clean as good as i think they will, but everyone else likes doing it so i am doing something wrong ::)

i charge at least £20 for an easy one, and about £50 for a large dirty one,

as i was writing it i was thinking ooh er! ;D
thought i would share my story as im on here, a man from saudi arabia asked me to clean his windows, over the phone i said i charge at least £20 - (saves wasting my time when i turn up and they expect it done for a fiver) he said cant you give me a discount, do it for £15, no i said. anyway i turn up and didnt realise he had a con, and they hadnt been cleaned for at least 5 yrs! then he said insides need doing too! they were just as bad!. i said im really sorry but its going to be £90, he managed to batter me down to £80, but in the middle of it he said can you clean my walls and wood floor in the con (damp spores) yeah i said if you pay extra. he said no can you do it for free, i just looked at him stupid! some people! anyways 2 of us took 2hrs to clean the house so it didnt work out so bad. wont let anyone else batter me down next time! im too soft! he did offer us a cuppa at the end, so not so bad a guy, and he want the windows done every 4 months for £30

As the rest have said charge a big price. esp with Finials and also see thru glass roofs.
-
charge high, conny roofs always look easier than they are to clean,
I only ever do them on days when i have no windows to clean cause i end up getting filthy and soaking wet,
think of a price and triple it and you will still be under pricing it

My method of pricing a conny roof...
Option 1- Pannels only - £3 - £5 per pannel
Option 2 - Pannels & whites - price up the pannels as above then add on an hours labour for the whites (double if filthy)
Option 3 - same as option 2 but add £10 on if they want the gutters cleaning out.
Option 4 - internal cleaning ... Pannels only £5 - £8 per pannel
Option 5 - same as option 4 but add 2 hours labour if they want the whites cleaning by hand (I use a jml product called doKtor power)
This is my pricing for an easy access conservatory. Some have to be accessed via the neighbours garden, so check they get on with their neighbour first. If they don't (have come across this) then you may need to look at getting a platform to give you some height.
In my early days I priced up a conny roof for £25. In the end it cost me £20 to hire the platform I needed because next door wouldn't let me in their garden (customer & neighbour hated eachother).
If they want it doing asap then its a fixed price. If there is no rush and I can do it say within the next month at a day of my choice, ill knock between 10 - 20 % off the price depending which way the wind blows.
One thing everyone should have is a soap, tfr etc. The finals I find are a real pig to get nice if you don't use this. Makes a hard job easy or an easyish job a doddle.

Don't think that just because you have a WFP you are equipped to do conservatory with it. Really you need a faster flow of water than your pump will give you. Also you will use gallons of pure water.
What I have done is make up an adapter so I can attach an old pole and brush up to the customers tap. Other than that, its a good little earner.

Some old bloke as me to price up to clean his roof. "£20" i said. "Thats way to much, i'll do it myself". Everytime i clean his windows he still hasn't cleaned it. Some people want it done for nothing don't they.

Cracking piece of advice there Vince :D
I do the same as yourself, you can use a shed load of pure when you don't need to.

I got a little made up adapter from gardiners that makes it possible to connect wfp to hose pipe so can use outside tap, cost a tenner i think, but if you got spare hozel lock and ez snap connectors and a bit of hose would be easy to make
