..........Quoted £20 today to clean this house. She said "oh no, thats way to much. The other window cleaner was cheaper but he only came once & has never returned." I asked her how much he charged her. "£10" she said. "Well he proberbly under-priced and thats why he ain't be back" i said. It was a big house but some people just want it done for F*** All.

allways some1 who will do it cheaper, they normally do not have enough work and need to pay the bills

quoted a house in one of the poshest streets in my town. Massive house and be lucky to get 100m  of house round it and has large stained glass window on the side and load sof windows. I quoted 20 quid and she just baout fainted. She said last guy charged 9 quid but she gave him the tenner and also said he just stopped coming LOL.

lol that sounds like a job i dropped last year, we can all get pricing seriously wrong from time to time. the best thing would have been honest and told them but i just dropped the job

priced a semi up today £6.50 with leaded windows she said no as her last w/c was £4 i never said anything to her but felt like saying and you wonder why you cant get a w/c cheap skate

I have a strict pricing policy, if they think its too much then they can go and jump.
a lot of these customers think window cleaners are below them!

Most they are below us ,...............................................when we are on a  ;D ;D ;D ;Dladder they are below us.

Get it all the time, thinking they are above me.
Its always the ones that say your more expensive etc etc and then have you that are problematic.

i underpriced for years and have a quite large round.i can pick and choose my work now.

im putting nearly all my prices up every year now.most a pound extra from next month.some ive put up £5/£6!even put one up to £25 from £18!happy days!not lost one .....yet! ;D ;D

ive got a few 4 bedroom detached to price up tommorrow after ive finished catching up with work from before xmas.should be finished by 3 then pricing up ready for first cleans on monday. ;D ;D

im really getting back into the swing of it after all the bad weather!

and i can really see the potential of my round now thanks to this forum and you guys!new van in july then(dare i say it! ::)WFP!).....THERE.....I SAID IT...........DIDNT HURT MUCH! ;D ;D
