I have a 500 litre Pure Freedom system and has a 10 amp fuse from the positive wire on the pump to the battery,however it has blown and I have put a 7.5 fuse in to replace this,it works fine but will it blow after a while as it is a smaller ampage ???

Ask yourself why the 10amp fuse blew in the first place? check for wire rubbing against metal (Shorts) water in the fuse holder etc and always replace the fuse with a 10amp, your pump states 8amp max, whack your pump up or run it for a longer period and it WILL blow.

The pump was frozen and caused the fuse to blow,I just thought by putting a lower amp fuse in it would'nt drain the battery as much but what do I know ;D
My Freedom trolly has a 7.5 amp in and runs a Shurflo 100 psi pump like my van mount but the battery is smaller on my trolly

The amperage of the fuse won't affect the drain on the battery. The fuse doesn't draw any current, it just blows if the current in the circuit exceeds the fuse rating so putting a lower amperage fuse in will just make the system fail more easily.

If its a Shurflo 100psi from purefreedom then those pumps should have a 10amp fuse, The pump says maximum 8amps so sticking a 7.5amp in won't last you and they always go when your miles away from a shop.
Ian's right the fuse does not draw current its the pump that does that but the current your drawing from your pump gores through the fuse so any excess current being drawn will blow a fuse.

right i dont have a clue about amps etc, i actually bought fuses today in my local autoparts shop, they had a box of various size fuses which includes 10 x 10amp fuses along with 10 x 25, 30 and 50 amp fuses, so are all but the 10 amp fuses useless? (they hadnt got a box of just 10 amp and at £1.30, it wasnt an issue)

That was a very good bargain at that price, for your wfp work with 100psi pumps its 10amps and if I remember right my charger for my backpack and trolley system all have 10amp fuses.
The mixed pack are not wasted because most cars use the same types of fuses now so keep them in your car. ;)

I use 7.5 fuses on my systems put at £5 for about a 100 they will last years, would rather burn a fuse than pump out, I did that last year upping the amp on fuse pump went first, lesson learnt hard way.
I dont think it helps that the tank most use leak and get wires wet
