As i have a job full time i was wondering if customers minded their windows cleaned on saturdays (as well as on my days off work) for any reasons ? I mean going around back gardens on weekends may possibly be seens as intrusion ? Anyone found this to be a problem ? Cheers.

For most people that is problem. They want privacy, specially on weekend. In other hand some people prefer Saturday s as they are in and can open gate for you, which they don’t like leaving open if no one is home during the week

nop,but sundays some people moan

Saturdays are a good day to clean as you will be seen by people who would otherwise be working during the week. Try and find time to knock either side of the house you are cleaning or approach any passers by to gain new work.
I'm new to this game as well but I think my comment will be seen by more experienced guys as the right way to go about it.

I started by doing Saturdays. Most people ok with it. Only downside I found that almost every customer at home and on a sunny day they often follow you round chatting - all very nice but it can slow you up. I also found it a bit disconcerting as I was working on my technique and it was very distracting having someone watching. Soon got used to it though.
Good luck

Years ago I needed a full week's work every week just to make ends meet. If it rained during the week I worked Saturdays and Sundays to make up.
Never had any complaints.

nothing wrong with working on a saturday

In my experience...yes and no. With window cleaning, or any cleaning for that matter...customers have different requirements.
So long as you are flexible and give them options I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Never had any problems working Sats but those with more custies may have experienced some.
Like all things, those that moan at you for working on a Saturday will normally be the types that have something to moan about in all walks of life if you know what I mean...

Weekends? Wash your mouth out! ;D

i have to work most saturdays in winter to keep my round on track!never had a problem.good for picking up new custys and getting paid on time !i never start before 10 on domestics and im usually all packed up coming home at 330pm-4pm.a lot of people work saturdays in the garden or are out shopping where i work so no worries.i still get the odd"you not working saturdays an all are ya?"even though ive been working quite a few saturdays for 16 years now! ;) ;D

I started out by working saturdays, if i had to it now i would loath it :'(, i hate seeing to many people having a day off when im working my balls off!!
When i did work domestics on a saturday i started at 10 or i went around to the pensioners first who i knew would be up at 6am ;D!!
This way you don't offend them by banging about when they are in bed.
You will find that once you have done one saturday they will half expct you to come the same day the following month.
And most importantly they will in to pay you more often than not. ;)

No not really, if you are behind or skint , chance it if you have to...and feel awkward....
Otherwise leave them.. i dont even like splashing water around after 4pm, when they arriving home never mind saturdays.
