Title: What to charge

Got asked to price an office today:

6 first floor windows 4.5ft high x 3ft wide accessed from flat roof

6 second floor windows accessed from flat roof

7 second floor windows above busy vehicular access to be cleaned from street level. I would have to go early in the morning to avoid the traffic for these ones.

Explained that I would need a WFP which I am getting in the next couple of months and they are prepared to wait.

Frequency: 3 times a year.

Can anyone give me a price guide.

I've not used WFP myself but I understand it has much higher maintenance costs than traditional cleaning plus you will probably want to start recouping a bit of your initial outlay.
Does £35 per hour sound unreasonable?  Or is that a bit low?  I suppose that petrol/diesel usage is a bit higher too if your vehicle is carrying more weight now.

 19 windows total, early start and only 3 times a year, 45quid minimum I would go for.

Oh yeah.  I missed that 3 times a year bit.  I wouldn't even offer a quote on that frequency unless it was £150+ .

quoted apartment block yesterday..32 windows...the majority on first floor accessible with WFP but 4 windows on 2nd floor would need a cherry picker and a Sunday morning early start. Cherry picker hire is £100 for the day...I think about 6 hours work...quoted £450.00 per quarterly clean. 2 of us working. Haven`t heard anything yet.

From what  you wrote I'd also go for the £50 mark.
