Hi Guys,
We have at a site a rubber ribbed mat.
Its in a bit of a mess. As its not been cleaned. Now I have attached a picture of the type of mat. It has alot of salt walked in from the snow. It has not been cleaned in like 2 or more years.
The area size is around 13x8 feet at a back entrance.
As the ribs are straight I was not sure if a floor buffer and shampoo brush would work.
Ideas would be welcomed.
At a last resort I will use a stiff broom and cleaning chemical.
Cheers

It is difficult without seeing the floor - the picture does not tell me much.
But personally I would avoid mechanical means unless I was really sure - try your default method first and work up from there.

Dave - I have cleaned this type of entrance matting
Use hard floor cleaner - yellow gel applied with a deck scrubber then I used the hard floor tool on the carpet machine fitted with the brush and clean water in the tank. It'll come up like new
