Title: Tosh's wfp system
Post by: AuRavelling79 on February 09, 2010, 11:18:05 pm
Tosh - I lose track what with avoiding the football threads and trying to get Jean-Luc Picard to beam up martin 606's table - remind me; what is your current wfp system and vehicle and does the lovely Worlass still work with you?

Just interested.

This is funny.
But i've just re read it and it has to be a pre arranged set up from Malc Gold for Squeaks to come in with the brilliant tag line photo.

It's not much consolation to tosh that this wasn't as brilliantly spontaneous as it appears, but that he took the bait hook line and sinker.

You aren't going to be able to frame a riposte to this tosh. Just accept that on this occasion you've been zinged.

Quite right Squeaks - ignore the conspiracy theorists!  ;D

And, yes I did have the privilege of meeting Ian by - pure chance - in a store in St. Arvans when I had just snapped the disc-lock shut on my steering wheel and had forgotten the key. So we had a chat while I waited for Mrs. Gold to bring the spares over the bridge!  ::)

Sigh!  ::) ::)

Squeaks is right, I need to move this one....but it is good though ;D

However, before it is moved (not gonna remove any posts in the thread as it is just too genuinely funny) we'll give Tosh the chance to reply to Malc's original question about his back pack and so on...

I protest Ian. It is a genuine question about window cleaning and I do not feel it should be trivialised by putting it in the "God slot". (AKA the Footie folder or Twurd Assoleciation)  ;D

The fact that Roger leapt upon the opportunity to release his pent up frustrations at the Toshy-bashings he's endured over the years is in my opinion a case of pure unadulterated serendipity!

Why the interest? Cuz I'm a nosey git! ;D

Actually my bro is thinking about doing something part time and he has a Skoda estate and so if I made a system that would sit in the back of the car he could work from it with a trolley or backpack.

I know I could get about 150L in barrels in the far back of the car, but weight issues might make a trailer and reel a better option.

I gave my Son some work and he did his first day last week 6hrs and earnt £145 he uses a small Clio.

I built him this pump Box.

Using just a backpack, how long does that battery last?
I only use mine for a few stand alone jobs but I wouldn't get 125 liters out of one battery.
Has anyone measured the amp draw for the surflow back pack on n0 3 setting?

Nice pump box Roy, but .............. the jubilee clip on the far right is the wrong way round and doesn't line up with the others.  ;D ;D

If it's the shurflo backpack I've probably put 300 litres through one on one charge before; though I don't usually and always have a spare charged battery.
I think you may not have fully charged the battery when it was brand new; I'm no battery expert, but I think they need about a 24 hour charge when they're new.

Wow! You're a better man than I am Gunga Din! Errr ... Tosh. ;D

His insurance will proberly be void as well

Gunga Din  - as in water carrier Tosh! "You're a better man than I am!" was my implication (after Rudyard Kipling) - as in a nod towards Squeaky's humourous post - and that you can get so much work (300L) from a backpack in one day.

No offence intended. A bit convoluted. Sorry.

But not if he declares business use like all sensible window cleaners driving cars should.
