Jacko

The money your making you should be upgrading ;D

Personally I wouldnt go less power than the powermax.

For £400 you could keep a pump and vac as spare for when the enevitable happens.

Mark

PS. bet ya it happens tomorrow.

I always carried a spare vac & pump but the thing i did'nt like was the guarentee started from the day of purchase, so if I carried a vac for 4 months then fitted it, if it blow the same week it was out off the guarentee period even though I'd only used it for one week.

but it still makes sense to carry a spare and a tool kit.

look at the alltec aqua machines. i like you use a powermax with an inline. good machine but unreliable imo. alltec is cheaper (can be) equally powerful can work at 90 degrees is compact and is lighter. i think it leaves the carpet dryer as the vacs are in parralel. i also feel it is more reliable as the motor section has a cooling fan. but if something does go wrong it is more difficult to work on. ps it has an immersion type heater. they make 30 40 and 50 litre tank models.

Des,

Dont buy a rug doctor, they wont perform to professional standards and IMHO look rather splash 'n' dash  :(

IMO the wide track Rug Doctor does a good job with iys vibrating brush.
Giving loads of Agitation. Now Fast Dry system

Good for climing three flights of stairs etc. As much power as many other machines on the market.

However as Rug Doctor advertise their smaller machine on TV as DIY system you would need to remove all decall.

Also you would also have the doubt in your mind from H Janus and others.

You can always use a mega which will indicate that things arent  so good and changed vac or pump before they go  Paul
