Title: Pure Freedom Hot System
Post by: dd on February 05, 2010, 07:04:44 pm
Just noticed their prices have come down a £1000 or more.

Single operator system fitted is now £1950 + Vat. Price on dual operator system also greatly reduced.

Maybe they are the first to realise that we won't pay over inflated prices!

It seems to be very new, though at over 1k cheaper is worth a try as Pure Freedom generally have a good reputation.

Alternative is to go down DIY route with a gas bottle and heater which is by far the cheapest option, as long as you are OK with DIY and happy to carry a gas bottle in van.

Hi I have the two man system and it is great for first cleans and for doing fascias and soffits and outsides of gutters especially when they are green. Have not had any experience of using it in hot weather yet but hot water on hot glass is supposed to be very good.Having it run off the van diesel is very handy and there is no danger of an explosion or of running out of fuel as you always have the gauge on the van .Overall I have no regrets spending the 2600 on the system and could well recommend it

Any idea how much it costs in diesel to run and what the servicing costs are?

i am having the 2 man system fitted at end of month they have told me that to run two men all day at full heat would cost about £8 in diesel.

Amazing isn't it these companies can reduce prices by a grand just like that and I guess  can still make a profit. No wonder this place where we live is called rip off Britain!

Does it run off the diesel from van or does it run from its own tank?

I'm not knocking the system but £8 diesel a day could easily be double next year the way fuel prices keep increasing.

£8 diesel a day, that is more than a gallon, how many liters does it heat for that amount of diesel?

how much did you earn when it snowed and froze over the the majority of Jan? £8 a day would do me just right, it will keep me from stopping in the cold and anyway why would you have it running all day, surely when the waters warm it will stay warm for a few hours and you can therefore switch it off

For me, it was too DANGEROUS to be working in that snow and ice, so i wouldn't have wanted to risk my van, my equipment, myself or my customers property. I was thinking of it more for the cleaning properties and increasing the speed on 1st cleans, conservatories etc.

I think the idea is the water is heated as you use it, you don't heat the water in the tank.

You can run these on red diesel (You need a separate tank installed in the van) which will halve your running costs

dont know where the £1k off comes from, at xmas pure freedom stuck vat on top of prices, as all prices used to include vat.

And £8 a day diesel cost for 2 men, carpet cleaners use shampoo and cost more than £8 a day.
Got no shop rents, rates , shop utility bills etc. Window cleaning with wfp is very, very low overheads & running costs

I thought they were initially selling 1 man system at around 3k + VAT. 2K + VAT makes them over 1K cheaper than their competitors.

As far as I am aware prices generally do not include VAT.

Thats what I thought used to be vat included, Now its plus vat. I was looking at their 2 man 650lt system to be fitted in April as they were the best price I found after months of looking may have to price other makes up again , as this adds nearly £450 extra to the cost , Alright if you are vat registered but I'm not
