Hi folks, just been wondering if anyone on here does roadside litter picking for councils etc.
During a long and boring journey today i noticed just how much rubbish there is in the verges and hedgerows. I have emailed the local county council enquiring if they have contractors to do the litter picking.
Does anyone on here do it?
Anyone know people that have done it ?
Sorry for the barrage of questions but looking to expand our tiny business and was wondering weather to pursue this line of enquiry.
Cheers folks.

Hi TVCS,
You will find that a lot of this work is either done by a direct labour force employed by the Council or awarded to contractors by tender as they tend to be mostly large contracts. Estate cleaning/litter picking tends to include verges where applicable and often drafted in their specification. As for whether it is worth pursing .....yes! Things to consider environmental license, qualified staff, the right equipment , Insurance, H &S etc., which would be more stringent in this category of works.
