I phoned late last week.

A week or two for some to arrive (not enough to get through the backlog).  By end of March a big shipment expected.

PW

thanks for that

I would like to have a look at one of these poles, I need to buy 6 new poles in the next few months so am waiting till windex to "have a play"
I assume they will have the forethought to take a selection to the show.

I don't think Gardner's normally do shows so you may be disappointed.

Well in that case they wont be selling me my poles then, Strange that a major distributor does not do the show.
Its been a few years since I have been to one of the shows, is it worth bothering with then or has it been reduced to a collection of the big boys flexing their muscles and trying to suck in the gulible?

the thing is, they do not have to attend, as the products sell so well

i know a few from here go and meet up, i allways have the best intentions but never seem to make it, it's sposed to be a great laugh at the bar

as for big boys flexing their muscles and trying to suck in the gulible? you have really made me laugh this morning, as that was allways my thoughts

If you base your pole buying decision on wether a company visits a trade show or not you are going to lose out in the end, not the supplier. SL-X is the standard. I can guarantee you that if you buy 6 without trying them out once, you will not be dissapointed.

Like Matt said, the show is pretty much all about that.

USSR

No, no mates.

SL2 is bestseller in our countries such as we mostly have commercial wc more than 30ft hight.

The last parsel with the sl-x to Russia was 6 months ago even, but the parsel with the sl2's was dispatched just yesterday again. So dont worry about the russian and ex-ussr SL-X demand at all ... yet.

Anyway, the productivity of the SL-X poles production will be improved to a considerable extent very soon.

regards and good luck,

Vadim

Not necessarily though there is an element of that.  Sometimes there are some quite innovative products - not always from the big boys either.
I think of it as a day or so off work and to catch up with other shiners.
My sister lives at the other end of the country so going to a show in the Midlands can be used by me as a jumpoff point for a rare visit to her.
I think of the show as a bonus and the socialising etc as the best bit.

He'll be pretty surprised at your interest matt and i'm sure he'll fast track you because selling one to you would be a bit of a coup.

;D ;D i am sure he will not care who i am

What length do you want Matt?

25 or 30 ft

not sure yet, i didnt realise you can take the sections out, so i will just use it as a 18 ft for most of the time

then again, i might aswell go for the 18 ft as thats what it will be used for

I'm sure you know what you need but i would recommend going for the 22ft one over the 18 for everyday use still very light and that few feet extra has come in really handy on a few occasions over cons roofs etc.
