When I google carpet cleaners in my home town my business is way down on the second page,is there a way of getting your name near the top.
As yet I dont have a web site but names of cleaning firms that also have no web site are way up on the first page,how do they do this

they prob achieve this by entering there business name in lots of free directories

Wayne type free business listings into google there are thousands and off you go its a start anyway when you get a website get as many links to it as possible, feel free to give me a call if you want as this type of thing takes up a large part of my time at the moment so i have done a lot of research my site is in 6th place on page 1 after 5 months so i know it works and i get a lot of work from site

Two important ones are free index and filling in you details for google maps. sign up for a google email address from their home page. Gumtree.com i've been putting a free ad on there for 3 weeks for my local city and it's now on the first page. My google map is top 3. Now building a website which I will then link to the free listings. A good way to track them is click on the link and see where it orignates. UK business directory is another.

enter free in goodle maps they always come up first under sponser listing gets ur name on 1st page if u looking cheap site to get u started try vistaprint
