got some brass connectors today seem quite good , ive also got 2 way connector thinking of putting it from RO to tank .
when i start to fill the tank i run the water for about 5 mins before i turn the waste tape down. but most of the time there is water going in the tank at a high tds so the idea being the pipe that goes to the tank is fitted to the splitter thing when it gets down to 004 turn off the one pipe then open the other to the tank .
what do you think .
i got the connectors from b&q only £3.00 each.

Hiya ccmids
Strange that man.... :o was going to post this subject, but missus recons i spend to much time on system ::)
Mine was slightly diffrent......iv got di afer RO and it takes about 5mins for water tds to drop from 400(ish) down to 30....
Sureley this must be burning my resin out puttin this high tds water through di...
So i was gunna use one them y connector to bin water until it reaches low ppm then turn tap to di.......
Is this just a waste ov time ccmids mate???? HMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!
Gunna keep watchin see if anyone elese clued up on dis.....LOL
Take care ccmids

my set up is RO4040 it goes ...outside tap ,then 2 pre filters, then RO , then tank .
mine only goes through di after tank to my hose reel . di so im told is always the last one before the hose reel .
-
Not always, you can have it before the tank
-
would that be for high tds reading areas?
-
No ,thats the way alot of systems are made,it does'nt matter really which way around as long as the water is 000 coming from brush head
-
yes that makes sence now , no need for one after tank its already done , ive just thought if i change mine round like that wouldnt that give me more presure at the hose end now there isnt a di vessel to get through.
its straight from the pump.
-
why when the waste tap on a 4040 is open does some water still go to the tank ? mine does this also
will putting a larger bore hose onto the waste stop this from happening ?
-
Hiya guys...
Slash is right ccmids mate.....
if it b4 tank it still pure water in tank....
I have DI after RO in shed(nealy used old resin in bottle from van to used to clean windows with)
Then another DI just b4 my reels in van with new resin in
Kindest regards

THe reason your tank is still filling after the bypass is on waste is because there is only a tap to bypass or not ther either pipe were ever it goes in your system and you have very good pressure and the bypass cannot carry all the water.
