as a lot know i will be switching a lot of my work to wfp in the future and i will be DI ONLY on a water meter so i do realise my water bills will rise and ill have resin costs etc!
after buying a van and getting a system fitted there is the ongoing running costs of wear and tear to poles,replacement parts etc.
do most of you find the extra money you make over time by using wfp easily covers the cost of your higher overheads?
after all thats the main reason for me switching so i make more money without slogging it out traditional every day!plus its safer!

i got a system about 6 months ago cost be about 550 all together, since then i have bought 2 brush heads, because i want to try different ones and a new pole becasue it was in a sale and spent 40 on resin,
i still have about the same no of custy, i am just finishing earlier giving me more time to enjoy my self
i think if you put 10 a week away in materials funds, this should more than cover and parts you might need to replace

im thinking more like £40-£50 a week to cover costs as i think ill be using about 2000lt a week once im up and running.i have a full round.
higher water bills
resin costs
replacement parts etc

phone ur water company and ask them how much a 1000 of water is, a decent system shouldnt break for at least a year

Water expense, I am on a metre and I get charged £1.09 per cubic metre (1000litres)

mb is that right £1.09 per 1000 litres?
mind you how much waste do you have two thirds? so £2.18 down drain and add £1.09, so £3.27 for 1000 litres.
sorry just being nosey, my set-ups at my parents place they are not on water metre.
one day i hope to get a decent sized place to live and just curious what my water bills will be.

Daz, I looked at my total WFP expenses a while ago, I think it worked out at something like £40 a week, which would have included initial purchases for kit, such as tank, RO, poles etc AND would also have included running costs, such as resin replacement.
My increased income from WFP compared to trad is somewhere in the region of that cost figure quoted multiplied by the page number that the promises are on in the big book divided by 7 ;D

You also have to pay for drainage cost on a water meter but if you contact your water company and explain to them what you are doing you should qualify for a rebate on the drainage element of your bill. Water bill should not be too high.
From what you have said resin is likely to be by far your highest monthly cost.
Depending on your tds likely get 2-3 weeks from 25kg bag (perhaps a little less if water useage and tds are high)

can i just mention that if your on a water meter your bill is tax detuctive ;)
