What area are you in?
Do you know if its a hard or soft water area?
Do you have room to house a static tank (this is so you purify the water and then transfer to van) so maybe a shed or garage etc?

Have you thought about buying a van with the system already in it,

Or push the boat out and get something like this  ;D

Have you got any form of income while your buiding,

I dont know what that water reading means that you said.

Yes it can be run as a one man system, I have a 2 man set up just means you have 2 pumps, 2 varistreams etc, I like having a 2 man set up as it means if a part goes wrong I got back up, also when i do any blocks of flats or schools I can get help all from one van.

SB,

speaking from personal experience i would look at getting a van already set up - but would buy NEW poles and RO system ( go for quality carbon fibre poles ) a 25ft would be a good all rounder.   i found buying s/hand of these troublesome and in the end replaced quickly with new.

you learn a lot once out on the road doing wfp so some stuff you buy was not really required.

knowing what i know now i would build up a system and bits from scratch which overall would save money.

i dont keep by ro in the van either which gives me more room for other stuff

He hasnt got room for a static so it will all be in his van.

Definatly dont scrimp on a decent pole, my recomendation would be 25ft slx from Gardners, this pole will do from town house,to bungalows and windows above cons, I made the mistake of buying 3 unger xtels, sold them and bought slx.
