I dont know if I have got this right. But are you saying that you can filter water through hot?
The instructions on these systems say that it will damage the membranes.

STEVEY BOY:NO IM NOT SAYING PUT IT THROUGH RO UNIT:
what Ive thought and many hrs later found out from the net that pasteurizing water at 175 f actually works and they have built a machine to do this in USA costing1700 dollars.no filters to buy ,no resin to buy just set it up turn it on and hey presto 99,99% pure water.
It was only a thought that I had after watching a discovery program on tv,
if knowone ever questioned things we would be driving our cars on logs instead of wheels.
would have pm Andrews Water with this one cus hes the expert on water, but no more pms.

Gaza,
I won't bet my meagre reputation on it, but I think the pastuerisation is referring to pure water as in bug free, healthy water :-\
I'm fairly sure that the pasteurisation won't remove the disolved solids! So I don't reckon it would be a suitable method for window cleaning...sorry!
But I do agree with you on questioning everything and always seeking an alternative method ;)

Ian

Ian: AMAZINGWHAT YOU CAN LEARN ON THESE PIECES OF PLASTIC,I USED TO THINK A HARD DRIVE was a round trip to scottyland and back in a day.

Hi Gaza,
Thanks for the compliment. As Ian rightly points out, pasteurisation only kills the bugs - it does nothing for the dissolved solids, so wouldn;t reduce your TDS at all.
If you want to contact me, you can always email me at andwat@talk21.com.
Yours, Andrew

IAN:Think your right,in fact deep at heart I knew you were right :-[
Because this is a new type of buiss to UK THERES GOT TO BE A BIG LEARNING CURVE.
PERSONALLY I THINK PEOPLE ON HERE ARE PIONEERS
some more advanced than others but everyone pulling together and keeping people up and running.

You need a "Water Still" to produce "Distilled Water".
To produce 8 litres an hour requires a flow of 2 litres a minute.
I think the running cost to bring the water up to 35 degrees C would be very expensive.

GLYN: didnt you hear me banging on the canvass to submitt?
I was well wrong ,the diff between pure water and pasteurized
water is miles apart.
But to find someone with superior knowledge on this subject put the killer punch in finished me off. ;D
