Gained £98.00 since Xmas; one where they thought they could get it done cheaper, they could but got a crap job. A nice £38 job in an area Im looking to pick stuff up in and a £40 shop done monthly.
Plus £280 in gutters.

Lost one commercial because the cleaner would do it cheaper and they wanted me to cut my price. And gained about 5 new jobs

I've lost 1 x £13 since Xmas.
I've gained 1 x £39 though.

Quite a decent start to the new year so far.

lost none, but gain 6 house for a toatlly of £80
also give a m8 of mine 5new house in a arae that i dont clean, but know he cleans there.
-
I have lost more than I have gained since the reccession bit.
A lot will depend on the type of customers you have.
I have six days work on one estate that could be classed in the starter home bracket, this type of customer tends to feel the financial squeeze more than others.
-
sorry it hear about losing your customers but i have picked up 14 new customers in January and some very very good leads from a networking meeting on Friday
-
lost 3 custy's because of price increase next day picked up £10 job which takes less time than the 3 i lost which was £14 in total not bothered though they were twisty
-
Lost 1 due to price increase!! But picked up 4 new commercial jobs and about 15 new residential custys.
Things are looking good after a bad start to the year due to weather.
Am expecting to lose a few more next week as we are putting more prices up.
-
Yes a £25 lorry firm that is struggling. But I've gained £73 in four new custies on domestic - and I've put some lower priced stuff up totalling over £30 too.
Is there some big firm gone bust round your way tonyoliver?

-
lost one idiot wanting me to put ladders on a roof. and not do them wfp
so i told him to go forth;
picked up some new with the nice weather;i didnt bother going out in the snow and ice cleaning
and thats paid off able to do them now and leave the crap till later :D
-
its a lot to lose in a month !..... especially since , after the bad weather the windows are bad....
dont take this the wrong way , but have you taken a look at other reasons instead of the recession,
are you polite and approachable?
do you pride yourself on being the best around?
are you organised and regular?
do you think that the customer may think, that you are expensive.
I know we all gain and lose customers, but that is a real hit in one month.
I would be asking myself lots of questions.... not aiming it at you... its just how i would think, if i lost a huge bunch like that.
Gary.

lost 2x£15
They said the weather is too bad come back march/april time when the weather picks up!
Picked up 1x£30 so evens it out really
-
I think I've lost another today (£12).
It was a not toiday thanks. What made it worse is that it was in fading daylight so no time to do a replacement job - i.e. a direct money loss.
I went to a street where I do four houses. I knew the timing was tight with the daylight so I pushed myself. At the fourth house I was asked to "leave them this time". I did ask why and the response was that they didn't need cleaning. This was after 2.5 months on a job that is meant to be 6 weekly. I can do without someone cutting my days income by £12 when I've already lost so much time and money recently. Anyway, if it had been something like getting new windows soon or even if she had said she was totally skint I could have let it go. But to say they don't need cleaning after the hammering of recent weeks when they are already a month overdue is a sure sign that this would be the start of the messing.
I will write her a polite letter explaining why I have cancelled as I want to be more pro than I have been before.
