Dose anyone use a spreadsheet with a price calculator on it.
One which you can pre-determine the price per window, then just put in the amount of windows.
The basics I can manage but, I'm trying to formulate one which includes a % extra if they are not regular.
I'e asked george systems if they can write one for the palm, but it may take a while.

nope dont use one i charge residential £25 per hour commercial £45 per hour works every time

Do you tell residential customers the final price before or after.
Say you do a job that takes you 20 mins, do they know it will cost £9 or so, or do you give estimates and see how long it takes?

in a cell enter ref to
(basic charge cell)/100*(100+(ref to cell with % extra in it))

You know I was a computer engineer before I was a window cleaner and yet I could never get the hang of a spreadsheet. I suppose I never gave it the proper time. I always think that if a program does it better and easier then use that one.

I agree if you can't use a program straight from the screen don't bother. If it comes with a 500 page manual I can't be botherd.

BEAR; LOOK AT JOB OVER PRICE IT, CUS YOUVE GOT ENOUGH WORK. do the job then knock off ; what you want to earn per hr any thing left is extra profit.to which you can return to the customer,or put into your local publicans pocket.
Think 1st choice is favourite ;D

i dont do any residential houses under 15.oo and can do two an hour all i do is look at the property and think i can do this in 20,30,40 mins upto or over an hour tell them its going to be £15-£40 dependant on size because if you do a £40 in an hour your still quids in and there happy cos no one else will clean them.
commercial i look at building always go on £45 per hour and always quote over time that way your making money rather than loosing ive never had a problem ever with quoting up.
