I'm thinking of getting new business cards done and going down the simple design route.
what do you guys think of this as a business card
1st one is the front
2nd one is the back
-
Think you should put your name on it.
-
Looks fine to me. ;)

Your business card is one of the most important marketing tools you have.
I understand the get mine from Vistaprint 1000 000 for 50 quid mentality but this is a point of contact when you aren't around anymore and how many people can confidently say that when they hand theirs to a client it is going to be thrown away as a cheap piece of paper.
I like your card but I would have your name on it - maybe even smaller than your company name!!, I would also double laminate it (matt finish) and make it something that people will want to keep.
My cards go out very rarely but whenever I give one out they always say to me excellent card, good quality.
Everything about your business should be as good a quality as you can afford. Don't skimp on your business card, it is very important!!!

Three or four elements:
1 - Your name.
2 - Company Name
3 - Contact Details (How you want them to contact you. Ususally not your postal address.
4 - Logo.
Pretty flower in background? Looks a bit gay to me. This is window cleaning, not flower arranging!!!!
-
Flowers in this business card is called unrelated advertizing. It drops the customers guard. They do not resist or have negative thoughts of you. Most to the point card prevote resistance ecept on Bus to Business card but domectic it quite all right.Think like the ladies who will be your custy and you will havethe answer. Have to agree that your card is one of the best I have ever had Rob.
Question for you, if you had to give out hundreds of them a month would you still use the same ?

It works too, I think it catches them awares, I see them go all wobbly at the knees, especially when hubby stopped buying them flowers years ago. It does work Wally, try it.

Yep. Says it all.
Gives all the right information and the meta-message is there as well.
Well done.

No. I like flowers, but not on window cleaner's business card.
It should be something masculine ... like a bottle of Old Spice or a man in a kilt.
Now THAT would get the girls going all wobbly and let the men know that you are a real man.
Your business card has got to represent you when you are not there to represent yourself. So it has to give the message that you want to give.
So, create a business card that exudes manliness and quality ... the very essence of window cleaners.

Off to kent in a short while but enough time to post a reply - Yes I would give out exactly the same quality. Quality will always shine through!! as some one offering a quality service you know what I mean.
I could never give someone a flimsy piece of paper and try and pass it off as a business card.

Any chance in seeing a copy Rob :)
-
yeah nice and simple. like it!
i used to spent ages trying to find loads of fancy pics and so on, but plain and to the point works best.
how much are they costing you mate?
-
Cheers all for your feedback, I have added my name and put the address on the back as I did not like the address on the front.
Have designed this myself through publisher, this is about as far as my creative knowledge will go. ;D
As for cost I don’t know yet will pop in to my local printer sometime next week and ask.
-
here are mine send payment one , windows been cleaned today , an business card
-
Here's a good one.
It's short, simple and VERY masculine. None of your gay flowers here!!!
-
Your revised version is better, which goes to prove that having different opinions from forum member helps. Sometimes the criticisms can sting a bit, but thats life.
If you want a really good hint, look at what smithy's done, and apply what rob said.
-
Like the cards straight to the point. I have been trying to get mine done too so any comments good or bad welcome.
