Hi,
how often do you review your risk assessments?
By law has to be every year?
Many thanks

Then every year or before :P

Many thanks
as anyone got coshh Statements?
:P

Best practice it is review your risk regularly, I would suggest this should be at least once a year. I attach a useful link which should be of help
http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg163.pdf
Also re "COSHH statements" see this link
http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/INDG136.pdf
Hope both help - but the HSE website gives lots of info.

Re COSHH Statements, ask your cleaning products supplier for one for each product. I then put them in each employees handbook along with our health and safety policy.
Cheers

If I remember correctly you require at least 6 items from the data sheet to a COSHH sheet.

Hi Diane,
That is not a COSSH Sheet that will be a data sheet.
A COSSH sheet will be your own details, Use of, Treatment of, risk of, key elements from the data sheet that is provided.
by your supplier.
The data sheet provided by the supplier will have no idea how you will be using the product and where or even how.
The idea of compiling your own COSHH is proof that you have read the data sheet.
If an executive came on site, they would not be happy just with a data sheet from a supplier.

Sorry Dave, not concentrating and missed the distinction, I call them COSHH Risk Assessments so double confused myself lol and thought from his second post that he meant the data sheets.
If anyone wants COSHH Risk Assessments for each of their products then these can be made (using the information on the data sheet), saved and printed at:
