you need to take into account the CIU factor, i know a window cleaner on the south coast, he was being advised by a guy on here ( who had a massive house, a brand new van, was earning 3-500 quid a day ), they exchanged e.mails and PM's with advice
he then found the guys address ( from google maps ) and went around to meet him and take him for a beer
the guy arrives home in a battered old escort van, the house was his parents
we still laugh about it now

it is very possible to earn that much or more. the best thing about the job is you get out what you put in and it can be as big or as small as you want. what you need to do is weigh up the income vs the hassel.

I think that is very impressive given the time of year let alone the snow and ice, your going to have no trouble building up come the summer.

that story reminded me of a bloke my misses mate married, said he was on 70000 grand a year, bmw, big house out in ormskirk/southport way, was high up in a building company as regional sales manager, and the reason he wasnt working was he was about to have neck surgery, she bought it hook line and sinker, they was married with in 8 months from meeting, (shes a bit of a gold digger) have know him 3 years now hes worked about 9 months of that till he gets sacked from his sales job, wont sign on as its beneith him lives on hand out from his 90 mum, and hes 47, house got repo with the bmw and the best thing was he only got divorced from his first wife a week before he got married, they both deserve each other, once digging for gold, but its fools gold hes got

How do you keep them all going when you are on here all the time...lol....only joking

Been going since October, bought a 20 year established round which turned out to be way under-priced. Quite a bit of hassle but sorted now and new customers all the time (3 today!). Currently 230 customers and growing so quite happy. Hard work but definitely worth it, what's the alternative? big wages and big stress or poop wages and crap job. Window cleaning gives you reasonable wages and a good compromise of work versus family.

Thanks, I've just got to keep focused now and keep selling my self(as in my business, not my body ;D ) that almost 4 week period of being unable to get out and clean was a bit of a wake up call as to what can happen, but I still put flyers out and took every opertunity to get new custies.

I started in November, got 69 customers so far,I could definitly had more but been a bit slack with the door knocking.Been having my kids a lot over last couple of months though so that eats into my spare time for door knocking, they been ill and am having 50/50 custody with my ex(Unless she changes her mind again ::))but thats why I got into this job,to get a better work/family/life balance after working away for years,Its the best thing I have ever done,I love being out and seeing the different areas and meeting different (and crazy!!) people,no asking for time off,no struggling to get to dentists, bank, doctors etc.I am lucky though,my girlfriend earns pretty good money,so it is helping me while building up my business.I wish i had done it sooner,But i was never really in the right financial state to do it,my wife earnt very little,I had a mortgage, three kids under 4 to provide for,but then we split up,The house got sold,I met my present girlfriend, took redundancy and decided to make a go of window cleaning, money is a bit tight at moment, but hopefully this time next year i will have a full round and be a bit more financially independant from my girlfriend!! good luck to you mate ;)
