I need to re route some of my system wiring from system to battery tomorrow but i need to know which type it is please ie 8amp-20 odd amp,i went to halfords and the guy said you need to tell me what amps you are drawing from the setup in order for me to tell what you`ll need.I run a heater and 1 pump but when i had the heater fitted no different wiring was used to the original i think as it looks identical,Thank`s in advance.

i think your pump will use around 5amps and will probably use a 10amp fuse.
i would use something like 17amp/3.3mm OD cable for wiring to pumps and other bits and for main feeds, like from battery to battery or battery to fuse box use a 27amp/3.7mm OD cable.
i can get you the 17amp for around 80p a meter and 27amp for around 90p a meter. if your interested email me. just try to avoid halfords as it will be super pricey.
hope this helps

Always use more amp wire then your fuse. (Obvious)
I've got 10amp fuses in the system, and 17a wire. They come on a little spool at halfords, yellow.

What colour for live and what colour for neutral in Halfords do you know,i`m having a half bulkhead fitted and need to re wire so i can get to the battery.

the cable is all the same, the colour is just for user preference to code things.
go for a red or brown for live and a blue or white for neutral
but as its 12v auto electrics it should just be positive and negative. so use black/negative and red/live/positive
