That thread that you started Dave, is disgusting. You need to get off your high horse and go with the flow. You knew if you kept provoking him, (Macmac) you would get the regular Tounge extenders to chip in for you. I honestly thought you were bigger than that.

Although i aint got a clue what Dave has said(missed the post) I do think Dave has got the right to be able to post topics(as we all have) and likewise, be open to criticism and debate. It's what forums are all about. But I gotta say that Dave ain't Jesus. Dave ain't God. He's flesh n bone who is good enough to give up his free time to moderate this nuthouse. It's a job that i wouldn't do. Not for love nor money. He's been an opinionated member of this forum for as long as i can remember(about 5 years,at least) and this site would be a lesser place without him, so lets let bygones be bygones. We need the "Daves" and "Ians" to keep this site from going out of control, so although he "may" have ballsed up over the last week or so,let's not forget what a stand up member of this forum he is. And i recommend this statement to the house ;D

Maybe a tad strong there mate, although that is simply my opinion, however I was surprised with the thread about MacMac from Mr Morris. He doesnt normally post threads on people deleting their account.
I think the essence of the thread was summed up in the question by Morris about who upset MacMac, Morris knows full well who, he's playing games, because someone had the audacity to question his working practices.

A mod provoking members who don't have the same possibility to delete threads is sad. Not too strong a point Matt. This seems to happen when the adult mod isn't online.

I was minding my own business, He called me a joker, he said i was endangering my employees, he took the mickey about some apparant joggers.
In fact over the years he has pounced every time i have opened my mouth.
He even admitted he does it just to wind me up !!!!
I wasnt being vindictive, ands i never hold a grudge, anyone who knows me, knows i am a jovial character and wear my heart on my sleeve.
I was totally suprised macmac deleted his account ,you cant honestly say i had something to do with that.
i still post as an ordinary member and as a mod.

All of the garbage you have started this last couple of days. Yes, I'm upset and angry about how you went about what you did. I'm not Mr Popular on here, but I can live with that. You on the other hand have to moderate the stuff we blurt out on here. It seems if you aren't agreed with as you imagined you should be, you lose the plot and handle from your stomach instead of your head.
If anyone else had constantly dragged a topic up in so many different threads, it would have been handled differently. At least by Ian it would. You take everything too personal, when you see a threat to your authority.
When I was new here, I saw you as balanced and fair, not now though. But never mind, your crew will post in your support soon, so it's going to be OK.

I think macmacs post was not that bad, have seen a lot worse on here, and at the same time I do not think dave did anything wrong in his replies was just being normal.
Macmac did have some valid points though.
It's easy to nit pic anyones working pratice and being a mod you was asking for it putting up pics, by the way adidas joggers ::) at least buy nike they look more professional :P

I think macmacs post was not that bad, have seen a lot worse on here, and at the same time I do not think dave did anything wrong in his replies was just being normal.
Macmac did have some valid points though.
It's easy to nit pic anyones working pratice and being a mod you was asking for it putting up pics, by the way adidas joggers ::) at least buy nike they look more professional :P
Sorry windowwashers, I couldn't disagree more! Nike jogger bottoms only look professional if tucked into the wearer's socks along with a matching hoodie. Good grief man, what on Earth were you taught at school? ;D
And in Cornwall the best dressed men have tri-corner hats, eye patches, double breasted coats with gold braid, three-quarters pantaloons (tucked into stripey socks) and buckled shoes. And they carry a lantern on their waterfed pole at night for when they go wrecking ... ;D

I dont know what world you live in, but it was macmac who followed me from post to post.
You dont see everything i see, people do delete there own posts, what you dont know is i see everything.
He openly admitted yesterday that he likes to wind me up as well as few others here seem to do.
My post had descended into farce, why would i want to keep it, also i dint want to be the victim of mud slinging.
There are a couple of threads here going the same way, if they werent about me i would delete them.
You had a go when you posed as Gaby, on a post where i was minding my own business, what was all that about ?
you did the same about 2 weeks later, the same again.
If you were abusing another member like you do to me i would delete the lot of it.

i find dave is normally a fair bloke, now i know people will say " he does a good job, blah blah blah, he is unpaid blah blah blah " and Ian will come in and say " if you dont like the rules, leave, simple as that "
BUT people on here also spend the same time, but they do it to help others, they do not get paid either, macmac has been 1 of them members, he has offered help to the mass's, for him to feel he had to delete his account ( or was it deleted for him ? ? ? ? )
the right to delete and edit others people replies is great, i mod and admin on a fair few forums, i know how it works, if i was admin on a board i would be asking dave about his opinion on the previous few days activity ( i know as admin you allways side with the mod, but this last post

the whole issue is macmac raised issues with a pole being used at a very high height , dave with all his safety certificates ( safe contractor etc etc ) felt the job was safe, a difference of opinion thats it
for the record i feel the safe contractor and like, are just a excuse to pay a fee and it looks good for commercial contracts, its a farce

How sad to bring up that predictable point, in that you said I posted against you using her account. I know your not dead sharp, but surely I would use her account now! You chose to ignore the post about the mails I've sent to you before she opened it. Do you really think I would use her to hide behind?, I don't need to hide, Told you a couple of weeks back that you are starting to believe your own press clippings. You actually believe you are some sort of big noise. It's embarrassing really. Obviously not for you though.
By the time Ian or one of the other mods from Carpet Clean section get to see what's going on over this part of the forum, I reckon they wont be too impressed. Or perhaps your bulletproof too? I'd just like to say, your "Cred" as such, just got a slapping.

This is an interesting thread, so why do we have people 'trying to lighten the mood' and saying, 'stop throwing your dummies out of the cot' etc.? Let the main protagonists have their say and stay out you so-called do-gooders.

I think you've made your point and Dave has made his.
Rather than let this descend into a free for all I think it is best if the thread is now locked.
This kind of argument is not good for the forum as a whole.
And Malc, this isn't a nice argument, it's quite intense, although if it got derailed by humour it might be a good thing.....
