Title: Need help please
Post by: Perfect Vision on January 24, 2010, 01:08:44 pm
Hello, I have a brand new system where the water from the house connects to the system and it runs through a set of filters Inc a ro and gets to the tank pure, only problem is iv gone to fill it up for the first time and all the water is coming out as waste and none going to the tank! Iv had a look and there's no water going to the di from the ro... So the water is comin straight out the ro to waste?! Don't know if that's going to make sense but I need some help figuring out why it's doing this! Also iv fiddled about with the tap on the ro and still only going to waste. Thankyou

Your tap is turned to waste on the system, you need to turn it till your producing pure, disconnect it from the resin and keep checking the tds till it comes down then connect it to the resin.

Iv tried turning the waste tap either way really sowly for 15mins n absoloutly nothing going to the di from ro not even a trickle?! I don't understand it, also the pressure gauge is on zero all the time so don't know if that makes a difference, bu the amount of water coming out the waste can fill a pint glass in 5seconds..

i agree with rwc you have to turn the waste tap so it starts to let water through to your di and then pure only other thing make sure there is no blockage in the pipe from ro to di cannister   were are you based

We're in Surrey, also iv shut the waste completly off n the pressure gauge went up to about 1.3 n it started tricking to di, is there pressure ment to be greater?

if you are making a good flow of waste you should not need a booster pump

I know but as we finally got some water coming in the tank which is barely anything the waste is barely anything to! So does this sound like I need a booster pump? Cheers
