Does anyone use a 1000ltr IBC water tank in there van. I only ask as i am setting up WFP and i am about to get one for free.
Thanks
Lee

I would`nt reccomend it unless you get it baffled ;)

i've got one and baffled it myself. Get the black drainage tubing from B&Q was about £30, cut in into sections and just feed it into the top of your tank, job done!

Tony,
Following on from Matts advice about unbaffled tanks.
Buy 25m of 100mm land drain from a local builders merchants should cost you about £35, cut it into 4 lengths of approx 6m each then just feed them into the tank ( dont worry about which way they go in as they will coil up naturally ).
It will take you about 20 minutes and then you have a good cheap baffled tank.

thanks for the replies, how much does putting this in the tank affect the capicity?
-
hardly anything, as the tubing is hollow and just fills with water! It just stops the "swooshing" and "rocking" in the van! What van have you got? as the only problem you might find go over the MGW of it, as 1000l is about a tonn in weight!
-
SWB transit, is it the payload, or gross payload that i need to check?
-
I think its best to check your MGW, ive got a toyota hiace give a 2.8t mgw, i filled it up with a 1000l, full tank of juice, all my kit and 2 of us in it, took it to the weighbridge and it weighed 2.4t!

will do, thanks for the help
