Title: How often do you change your membranes
Post by: sparklebright on January 23, 2010, 08:59:51 pm
Had my new membranes in my 300 gpd unit for a 13 months now. Looks like they need replacing.
My unit is on 24/7. Does this sound to soon to any of you?

No. It sounds good to me.

What was your tds in/out when you bought the last membranes? What is it now?

Yes, mine are 3 1/2 years old and still putting out 5 tds, have you been changing filters regular?

Sounds a bit soon to me if you have been changing pre filters when you're meant to.  If you haven't then 13 months sounds Ok.  I would be a bit disappointed to get less than 2 years from membranes - and would expect rather more assuming I had changed pre filters when necessary.

Must admit I didn't change the pre-filters for about 8 months, so maybe I have ruined them

My TDS is around 380ppm pre treatment and 15ppm after
