I,ve just started getting few custys, and start in two weeks time, but having trouble getting roof bars for my car so was thinking buying a 2m triple ladder to fit in my car. woundering if a 2m triple ladder that extends to 4.8 m will be suitable for the job??
Thanks guys :D

I'd say they would be way to small.
-
what car have you got
-
triples are good but you will need at least a 6.5 metre fully extended.Mine is a lite weight and I am a big fellow but it takes the weight well. TRY GETTING a roof rack on the internet, Try google it.

4.8 m will do most ( if not all ) 1st floor windows
have you thought of ditching the ladders and just getting stright into WFP
small RO to start ( 80 quid on ebay )
rain water butt ( 25 quid DIY store )
fishing pole ( 25 quid )
Brush ( 15 quid )
backpack ( 100 - 125 quid )
sack truck for backpack ( 25 quid )
various pipe and fittings ( 25 quid )
6 X 25L barrels ( free from car wash )
complete setup for under 300 quid
you will spend that on a decent set of ladders and roof bars ( well allmost )
still buy the trad kit for downstairs windows, just WFP the upstairs, tell the customer about the Working at height regs and they will accept WFP upstairs ( blame them damm europeans ;) )

oh and a backpack and 6 X 25 L barrels and pole will fit in any car
job done

There was a post on here a while ago showing an inflatable roof rack, yep, no joke.

i use a triple 2.0, great size for regular houses and as you say ,fits inside a car .or get 2.2 metre or 2.5 if youve a big enough motor. i made up a thin sledge out of batten wood to slide them on to make things easy

??? bet that was handy after Christmas.

ah i never thought of that , next year i will be ready ! i can see it now ......... big gink sitting on top of a 7 foot ladder sledge ;D WAHEEEY

i got 3.5 meter triples, they are way too big and way too heavy, would of thought your 2m triple would be fine for majority of jobs,i would consider a backpack and wfp for anything any higher, its all added expense though, its all shelling out when you start up :(
