evening all.
got a question for you.
was out cleaning yesterday and while looking for new places to canvass i come across this nice culdisac with about 8 houses down it. all detached and looked at ;east 4 bedroom property's.
all of them has leaded windows. the leading was the type at 45degrees and each window had probably 30 sections/diamonds on them.
seems a good place to head as i no the area and there are no other wfp guys about at the moment and i cant see anyone wanting to so it trad.
so the question is, whats water fed like on these windows?
does it work well or are marks left on the glass from the lead?
thanks

Pure water seems to love leaded windows, well the ones I do anyway!! Just be careful with "old" windows, as they can be a bit fragile!!

one thing to note with leaded windys if scrubbed really hard when bird muck is on it can lossen the lead a bit as i have found so now i use a softer bristled brush on leaded windys currently using gardiners flocked superlite

i used to avoid leaded and Georgian windows like the plague :o ;D
but they come up a dream with wfp :)

I agree, but make sure it's just stuck on lead, not actually separate pieces of glass on some old ones.
I did one and flooded the house. It runs through every piece!

WFP is perfect for leaded either stick-on lead strips or the real thing. No matter how bad the soiling, they come up beautifully.
Of course, with the real leaded lights you need to be careful not to apply huge pressure. But if you're doing wfp properly, you only scrub gently anyway.
