What happened to it?
And why?
-
Perhaps it fell foul of the posting rules !! LOL
Don't worry, I'll get me coat.......

Matt,
It was reported because of the shocking image and either Admin or Dave removed it I'm afraid...
Perhaps it would be better to simply post a link to the article and image along with a warning with regards to the poor man's disfigurement....
The image was very disturbing and I guess some forum members will also have their young children looking over their shoulders to see what Dad's up to.
Regards,
Ian

Possibly.
I felt it was shocking too, but the poor chap will have to live with his disfigurement for the rest of his life which is his reality.
And could also be the reality for people that use this forum if they have a similiar accident; considering the chap was working on a window using a cherry-picker its quite a realistic prospect.
It would be a shame if that happened to someone and those kids looking over their fathers shoulders couldnt look at their father because of his injuries.
Basically I posted it Ian because although shocking to look at, the images were also reality. Perhaps burying our head in the sand and pretending they arent there makes taking risks easier to bear.
Lot of swearing going on on the forum at the moment too just in case theres any kids looking over their fathers shoulders.
The person who complained started a thread with the word poop in the title.

I am continually deleting posts with swearing in them, drives me around the twist.
Also agree with you about the nature of the post, but also understood where the guy was coming from, hence why I suggested a compromise....
I also abhor the continual use of text-speak in threads or titles, so unprofessional and lazy...
Spelling errors and typo's are different, I wouldn't dream of putting of those who might have varying forms of dyslexia from expressing their viewpoints.

Careful Ian, comments like that will have the pedants scrutinising every word for the slightest slip up so they can gloat.
Incidentally, in your post the word "of" should have been "off" ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ian I use another forum that has a moderators decisions section to explain why a thread has been deleted, or a user has been banned and why and for how long, just a thought but wouldn't it help users on here and save yourself s from getting involved with everyone asking ?

any chance you could post the link to this pic with a warning next to it as i feel as though i am missing out now, ;((

I can see both sides of this problem and agree totally with both. (Is that possible) "Laugh out loud" ;)
I saw the pictures before I went out this morning and was shocked and very saddened that some poor soul has to bear that for the rest of his life.
I think people should be aware of the dangers and what better way to get that across than on here, however as I was reading the post my 11 year old daughter came in the room so instinctively I took the page from my screen. She is not old enough to be going up in cherry pickers yet so does not need to see and I don’t like to shock her unnecessarily.
