hi to all anyone know how  I can get advice on staffing issues staff sick pay entitlements need a bit of help Thank you staff contracted for 16 hours pr week

by law you dont have to pay sick pay,  it is normally in the contract of employment what sick they are entitled to,

what is the problem, is it long term sick or short term sick

daz is spot on, what does your contract state to them. Sick pay is at the discretion of the employer

ssp has to be paid though

check with dss,   ssp doesnt have to be payed for the first 3 days any way,   the only reason that companys pay sick pay is that you can claim it back against tax, its a bit different to claiming wages back
