I got some off my own settee the other day with alcohol from LTT , the top surface went a bit  rough ,, cleaned and protected it , looks fine now ,, no evidence of it having been there.

The crucial thing is to know the type of leather you have as processes will depend a good deal on the sort of finish on the leather. Nail varnish is a paint so it has painted the leather.

Sometimes (often on aniline style leathers) the nail varnish will peel off (worth a try before anything else).

The process on pigment coated leather is to try first Maxi Cleaner, then Alcohol Cleaner. Beyond this you will need to get into restoration processes that require recolouring as a final step.  You need to be careful using these processes on two tone finishes as they may remove more than the nail varnish!!!! and you will then need to know how to repair them.

Hope this helps
