The wand will be stainless steel have a 12in head and 4 jets and wil be used with a Scorpion, obviously the 2in bore would allow more airflow but is heavier, which one would you go for? I'm asking on here since I have not been able to try them.
-
Well that clears things up then!
-
Your question doesn't make good reading! is it a wand you want or a wand you have?
Shaun
If you are looking for a wand then HM have the greenhorn and a glide.
-
Fair enough Shaun. Iv'e only got a 1.5in bore wand and would like a 2inch. I was only considering the 1.75 since I was told that the 2inch in stainless steel is heavy and bulky.
I just saw the Greenhorn on HM the other day and wondered what was special about it; the info is waiting to be added.

Sorry to interupt,
But what is HM? Can you kindly let me know.
Cheers

Hi Guys
The 2inch is consideably heavier than the 1.5 but you do get used to it.
In confined areas I use 1.5 and open 2.
cheers

Rich remember the two greenhorns they pulled out when we were extracting those rugs down in Cornwall on the course? I didn't like the greenhorn when I used it (either model). Two problems, firstly the glide on it is pants, it doesn't, "glide" !! I think it was more like normal plastic than the smooth slippery teflon on greenglides.
Secondly, the wand is so light it doesn't give you any down-force. You need some weight in your wand head. When we put Goron's 12" westpak with greenglide on the end of that vac hose I was extracting literallyu holding the wand between finger and thumb, compared to wrestling the greenhorns with both hands and gettign a bad back in the process!!

Oh James :o
Whose bed did you sleep in last night? I have to ask because you seem to be loosing your marbles ;D We didn't use a Greenhorn down at HM on the rug course, it was the Evolution Wand. There weren't any Greenhorns in the showroom or store. Like you, I couldn't get on with the Evolution either. But then again, I do like a heavier wand and with a Teflon Glide too.
Safe and happy cleaning :)

Ooops! I'm mixed up with the evolution, my apologies ignore me :)
-
Jim weren't those wands the Evolutions that were sticking to the rug or was that the Greenhorns as well?
-
I should have took notice of the new post warning!
-
I've just fitted Greenglides to my wand and have to say that it makes work so much easier. Does it really dry the carpet as well as they say as there seems to be a huge amount of air flow at the wand now as apposed to previously?

Greenhorns a great wand doesn't stick to rugs, relatively light, have the 4 jet version.
