a very true word said ;)
-
I'm not too worried, I now have a small tank which I can fit into my wifes 4x4. So I am now equipped to work in almost any weather!!
-
It seems to be hit and miss with these sites..some say temps a little higher than average, others say they have little confidence in 'their' information to make a committment for Feb ....
1 day at a time can be the only way forward..
Cheers
Dave.

yes, a few sites seem unsure, most say it will be dryer than normal, a few others have said its could to be colder ( which will mean below freezeing )

Piers Corbyn from www.weatheraction.com is saying a mild end to January fairly mild into Feb followed by a very cold spell at the back end of the month.
He's very accurate, I've been keeping track of his prediction technique and now thinking of buying his forecasts. Lots of farmers buy his forecasts and it allows them to plan better. I've had it with Met office, bunch of amateurs, things have moved on and they still only give 5 6 days longrange. Prof Corbyn can do 30 days. Check him out on you tube

I dont know if any of you guys have come across this site before but I find it very useful http://www.meteogroup.co.uk/
I have it on my phone (intenet connected 24/7)
The radar is great as its updated regulary and very easy to understand, for instance I can see that although its raining here now it will blow over in about an hour so i wll be able to go out again.
as soon as it starts to rain I check to see if its worth sitting it out in the van.
It has saved me hundreds of pounds turnover in the last 3 months just by making sure I dont make a bad call and tell the lads to "call it a day"
ps. click on the radar picture to enlarge, then zoom in and out

Why is it everyone seems to be full of doom and gloom?
We need to be more positive, don't we, to get through it all.

The weathermen can't predict a week in advance so I wouldn't worry about next month yet. I've done my first full day this year so I'm more bothered about getting this months work in first.
