Title: What order should the filters go in?
Post by: sparklebright on January 13, 2010, 06:35:30 am
Ok dumb question time....
Last winter my RO froze and of the filter housings shattered. I ordered a new one and took the whole thing apart soak it in the bath and got the ice out.
New filters new membranes etc...rebuilt it.
Now the question is have I got the prefilters in the right order?

I've got a 5 micron cotton wool type thing, then a GAC (granulated activated carbon), then a Chlorplus. Does that sound the right order.

Been that way for the last year, but soundly I feel all insecure  :-[
