Title: internal window cleaning
Post by: chopsie on January 12, 2010, 06:27:45 pm
I have been asked 3 or 4 times this week if i could do insides when i clean next time.I told them all i do not do insides as its too much hassle and i am wfp only.I am thinking i may of been a little hasty,Truth is i am slow and not too clever at trad cleaning,so I wondered what you lot do,what you use(if anything apart from trad gear) and how much i should charge if i decide to offer this service.

price wise i charge a few quid more than the outside E.g £10 house outside=£13 inside. some might charge more but i am happy with this and customers find it reasonable. I explain you have to move stuff like soffas chairs to get to their windows .oh and the kitchen window above the sink is a nightmare so take it all into consideration.

i tend to use a trigger spray and micro fibre cloth for inside work thats not too minging ill only use trad gear on big windows or patio doors.

quicker and cleaner that way imo

If your not brill at trad a wagtail flipper is good, even my son looks like a pro with one.  Pricewise anything from 25-50% over the outs depending on nets and stuff on ledges.

Simon.

Mr Muscle & windex are EVIL!!!

Pure water alone works great & leaves no smears when used with a good quality microfibre or scrim.
Its well worth practicing with a wagtail though as its a really quick way of doing internals.

I have a wagtail but no flipper.do not seem too be much different to regular squeegee, especially as i cannot fan at moment.just do side swipes, but still seems crap and wish i had not bothered when i do it.
