hi as im driving with a full tank of water 650 ltrs, its spilling out of the vent on the tank lid, the black screw on cover thing, is there a way of stopping it, bluetac maybe? i know it needs a breather hole as the air needs to displace as the water fills, but its soaking the back of the van and in these conditions the less water freezing inside the better!
cheers in advance guys! and all the best for tomorrow, we got 3 days of snow for south wales! >:(

Put an 8" length of 1/2" garden hose in the lid vent.

I just trim a cork down to fit.

you can drill a hole in the van floor and extend the breather with hose to the floor.
that way your floor stays dry when your driving
also if your float switch dies or doesnt work it wont flood the van
im not parked on a flat surface so kept flooding out until i got this done!

What Matt Bateman said except I use a piece of thin bore R/O hose taped into a loop and taped around the hole where it goes through the lid.

it stops after 2 cleans. ;)
